Aged Care Services
Each resident is acknowledged as a unique individual whose life experiences and personal values should be respected and protected. Staff will always protect residents' rights to privacy and dignity, but will be on hand to assist with personal needs whenever necessary. Maintaining a sense of dignity, purpose and self-esteem will be achieved by the provision of one-on-one caring in a home-like setting.
Royal Heights Rest Home has been designed from ground up to best practice standards, each room is fitted with 24-hour call buttons and there is full wheelchair access, including wheelchair toilets and showers. Bathrooms, toilets, and hallways are fitted with support rails, and the building is fully featured with sprinklers, automatic smoke doors, fire retardant furnishings, and smoke alarms directly linked to the fire department.
Nursing care is tailored to the needs or each individual resident. Caring staff are on hand to assist with dressing, bathing, meals and laundry as and when required, and regular consultations can be scheduled with your doctor. Our staff can also help residents and their carers access relevant Government funding and assistance. Regular activities, outings and various learning programs organised by the activities coordinator are important aspects of maintaining our residents’ mobility and sense of well-being.
Family and friends are encouraged to visit as often as possible and, if practical, to take their loved ones out for coffee or lunch or dinner, just as they would if this was a private home. Residents can leave the facility at any time to join their families for annual holidays or to stay with them for a night or two.
